Requirements

  • Forklift operation skills; certification required or ability to obtain certification.
  • Ability to operate stretch wrap machines.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written in English).
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs consistently during the shift.
  • Ability to work in both hot and cold environments.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Warehouse and Production Supervisors regarding packaging required for daily production runs.
  • Maintain appropriate packaging inventory levels throughout the shift.
  • Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to deliver packaging to production lines and remove loaded pallets from production lines to warehouse.
  • Supply packaging materials as needed and maintain pallet supplies.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation.
  • Advise Warehouse and Production Managers when packaging inventories are low.
  • Report unsafe conditions in both plant and warehouse areas.
  • Assist maintenance with troubleshooting equipment issues as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and implement ideas in assigned area.
  • Follow and maintain GMP standards at all times.
  • Participate in yearly inventory process and warehouse sanitation tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Completes safety documentation and verifies compliance with program standards.
  • Participates in mandatory safety training and follows all company safety policies.
  • Reports all safety issues, near misses, and injuries immediately.
  • Completes quality and food safety documentation and verifies compliance.
  • Participates in mandatory training related to food safety and quality.
  • Preserves the integrity of the BRC system by following all procedures.
  • Reports and acts on any food safety or quality concerns immediately.
