About The Position

The Order Puller performs warehouse functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing, organizing, and retrieving warehouse stock. The position is full-time and based at the Houston, Texas location, with a day shift and an hourly pay range of $16.00 to $18.00.

Requirements

• One to two years of warehouse-related experience in shipping and receiving.
• Excellent work ethic and the ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
• Strictly observe all safety rules.
• Pass a background check and drug test.
• Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing 10–50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing more than 100 pounds.
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally sit and climb or balance.
• Have the vision abilities required for the job, including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with a reach truck, forklift, and order picker.
• Experience with carbon flanges and fittings.
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift, stand-up reach truck, or picker.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Keep shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat by sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
• Organize the warehouse and work area to maintain orderliness.
• Wear proper safety equipment at all times.
• Receive and process incoming stock and materials, pick and fill orders, pack and ship orders, and manage, organize, and retrieve stock as needed.
