About The Position

Genesis Hospitality is seeking an experienced, energetic, and team-oriented full-time Line Cook. The position prepares and serves food in kitchen areas while following recipes, portion controls, presentation specifications, food-handling guidelines, and safety and sanitation standards. The Line Cook maintains an assigned workstation and helps keep the kitchen and storage areas clean, sanitary, and organized. The role requires reliability, communication, multitasking, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Well-developed organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Dependable and reliable.
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, mornings, and evenings.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
Execute food production and service for any or all areas of the kitchen.
Recognize quality standards for fresh vegetables, fish, dairy, and meat products.
Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing the kitchen and storage areas.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Kitchen Manager.
Maintain an assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition.
Handle food according to local health department guidelines and proper food-handling techniques.
Coordinate the use of time, materials, and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense.
Maintain acceptable personal hygiene and comply with the department dress code.
Follow safety regulations and report injuries, unsafe conditions, and unsafe work practices to the supervisor.
Attend assigned in-service training and education sessions.
