About The Position

Tranquility Bay Beachfront Resort in Marathon, Florida, is seeking a dependable and motivated Line Cook to prepare high-quality dishes while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen during busy service periods. The ideal candidate has previous restaurant or resort kitchen experience, performs well in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in food quality, and supports the kitchen team. The resort describes itself as a 103-room property on 12 acres in the Florida Keys, with a private beach, pools, and dining at Butterfly Café and TJ’s Tiki Bar.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as a Line Cook, Cook, or Prep Cook.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Restaurant, hotel, or resort kitchen experience is preferred.
Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain an assigned line or prep station for lunch and dinner service.
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
Ensure food is cooked to order with consistent presentation and portioning.
Prepare ingredients and assist with daily food production and prep.
Maintain clean and organized kitchen workstations and equipment.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
Assist with inventory organization and reduce food waste.
Support team members in maintaining smooth kitchen operations during busy shifts.
