About The Position
We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Cook to join our Assisted Living team. This role plays an important part in providing nutritious, well-balanced meals that support the health and happiness of our residents.
Requirements
- Previous cooking experience preferred (healthcare or senior living a plus)
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong time-management skills
- Must be able to pass background check and required health screenings
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to posted menus and dietary guidelines
- Follow special diets and texture modifications as ordered (low sodium, diabetic, mechanical soft, etc.)
- Ensure all meals are prepared and served on time
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures
- Assist with inventory, food rotation, and kitchen organization
- Work collaboratively with dietary staff, caregivers, and leadership
- Treat residents with respect, patience, and kindness at all times
