About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a service-oriented Cook for Hotel Boulderado. The position may be a banquet cook or restaurant line cook and involves preparing food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banquets. The cook maintains sanitation and food-safety standards, keeps storage areas clean and organized, handles and stores food properly, and rotates inventory. The role also works with a manager on specials and menu variations and performs other duties as assigned. Open availability, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role is required.
Basic understanding of, or ability to learn, sanitation practices and workplace safety regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of food preparation health and safety guidelines.
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to multitask.
Team-player approach.

Nice To Haves

High school education is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain high sanitation standards throughout the area of responsibility.
Keep food storage areas organized and clean.
Handle and store food items properly at the end of each shift and rotate inventory.
Prepare food to specifications for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banquets.
Maintain clean, orderly storage areas and product pars.
Work with the manager to create specials and other menu variations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
