About The Position

See Ya Later Ranch is seeking a Line Cook/Kitchen Porter for their Patio Restaurant & Events. This is a seasonal hourly contract position from May to October. The role involves creating a memorable dining experience for guests by preparing exceptional food to complement award-winning wine. As part of a team, you will contribute to daily lunch service and private events, ensuring high-quality food preparation, production, and presentation.

Requirements

  • Courteous, friendly, professional attitude – demonstrated Emotional Intelligence.
  • Minimum one year experience working in a kitchen with a desire to become more proficient.
  • Able to lift 40lbs.
  • Able to work in hot summer temperatures.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to work weekends throughout the season.
  • Able to work evenings for weddings and other events.

Nice To Haves

  • Food Safe certification.
  • WHIMIS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, portion, and stock food station as required.
  • Ensure the preparation, production, and presentation of food are always of the highest quality.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen area, including pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and equipment.
  • Unload and put away deliveries and stock.
  • Empty bins, sweep, and mop floors.
  • Maintain readiness of kitchenware and kitchen laundry.
  • Perform daily opening, closing, and cleaning duties as requested by the Winery Chef and/or Sous Chef.
