Dacotah Dining Line Cook II
About The Position
Dacotah Dining is seeking a skilled Line Cook II to join their team at Jackpot Junction in Morton, MN. This full-time position offers a salary range of $21.50 - $45.02 per hour and involves a variable shift schedule, including weekends. The role requires proficiency across all kitchen stations, the ability to take direction, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and a solid understanding of various cooking techniques and food safety.
Requirements
- Prior line cook experience at a full service restaurant preferred.
- Strong culinary, knife and cooking station skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational skills and sense of timing.
- Knowledge of frying, sautéing, broiling, basting, baking, poaching and roasting.
- Knowledge of proper sanitization techniques.
- Able to produce consistently high-quality food products.
- Able to cook steaks to temperature.
- Self-motivated and dependable.
- Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
- Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.
Responsibilities
- Competently utilize all Dacotah Dining kitchen stations.
- Work any station and shift as needed.
- Take direction from Chef de Cuisine and Lead Line Cook.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen area.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
