About The Position

The Lighting Warehouse Technician ensures lighting equipment is efficiently tested, maintained, and show ready. The role pulls, prepares, and restores cables, fixtures, consoles, and other parts of a lighting system. The technician helps ensure equipment leaves the shop prepped to company standards and meets client specifications and deadlines. The position also supports truck packing and unpacking, equipment troubleshooting and maintenance, and other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to troubleshoot effectively and efficiently.
• Computer literacy and willingness to learn an inventory system.
• Familiarity with moving and static lights.
• Familiarity with live events industry markets, including corporate events, festivals, and dry rentals.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment leaves the shop prepped at or above company standards and within client specifications, meeting client-specific deadlines.
• Assist in packing and unpacking trucks.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
• Assist other departments as needed at the discretion of the Lighting Department Head.
• Collaborate regularly with Clair lighting operations personnel.
• Stay up to date on the latest lighting technologies and standards in the live entertainment industry.
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
