About The Position

Sagora Senior Living is seeking a creative, high-energy Lifestyle Director for its Asher Point of Texarkana community. The role plans and implements resident activities tailored to residents’ needs, interests, and capabilities, supporting meaningful engagement in a senior living community. The position also coordinates transportation, volunteers, resident orientation, and community events; maintains activity communications; and operates within the activities budget. The role may serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned.

Requirements

• Affinity toward senior adults.
• Organization and customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English with residents, families, guests, and other associates.
• Must possess or be willing to acquire a valid driver’s license and Commercial Driver’s License where necessary.
• Must be able to work some evenings and weekends for special events.

Nice To Haves

• One year of work experience in the senior housing industry or event planning is preferred.
• Degree or certification in gerontological studies, recreation, or a related program.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement resident activities according to residents’ needs.
• Maintain the monthly activities calendar and assist the Marketing Director with the community newsletter.
• Coordinate resident transportation for activities, shopping, doctor trips, and other needs.
• Assist with new move-ins and conduct new resident orientation.
• Establish and coordinate the Community Resident Council and attend all meetings.
• Supervise and operate the community store.
• Listen and respond to resident problems, complaints, suggestions, and ideas regarding activities.
• Coordinate the use of volunteers.
• Document the community’s history with photographs and scrapbooks.
• Operate activities within budget.
• Serve as Manager on Duty as assigned and perform other duties assigned by the management team.
