About The Position

We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to join our team at Tierney in Barnegat, NJ. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all patrons by monitoring swimming areas, enforcing safety rules, and responding promptly to emergencies.

Requirements

• Current lifeguard certification (e.g., American Red Cross, YMCA, or equivalent).
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required.
• Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous lifeguard experience preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Monitor swimming areas to ensure the safety of all guests.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including performing rescues and administering first aid or CPR as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe pool environment by inspecting equipment and reporting hazards.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests and answering questions.
• Attend all required training sessions and maintain current lifeguard certifications.
