About The Position
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of patrons at an aquatic facility in Jersey City, New Jersey. The role involves monitoring swimming areas, preventing accidents, responding to emergencies, enforcing facility rules, and maintaining a clean and safe pool area. The Lifeguard also communicates with patrons and team members.
Requirements
- Current lifeguard certification.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Strong swimming skills and physical fitness.
- Ability to stay alert and attentive for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor swimming areas to prevent accidents and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment.
- Perform rescues and administer first aid or CPR when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the pool area and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patrons and team members.
