About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a full-time Lifeguard responsible for the safety of guests and associates in pools, hot tubs, slides, attractions, and interactive features throughout the waterpark. The Lifeguard applies lifesaving skills and first aid when needed, monitors the waterpark for safety, responds quickly to emergencies, and interacts with guests in a friendly manner. The role collaborates with the team to uphold safety standards and help ensure an enjoyable environment.

Requirements

Availability Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and associates.
Ability to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively.
Must successfully complete and pass the Kalahari Lifeguard Certification Course; employment is contingent upon passing.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual skills.
Experience in a large resort or recreational/waterpark.

Responsibilities

Ensure guests feel welcome and safe and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
Maintain National Aquatics Safety Company and Kalahari safety standards by leading by example and supporting staff.
Work with the waterpark maintenance team to help keep equipment safe, clean, and in excellent working condition, including monitoring scheduled inspections and following preventative maintenance programs.
Apply lifesaving skills and first aid to guests or associates in need.
Assist with daily startup and closure procedures for indoor and outdoor waterpark attractions.
Assist with trash removal, towel collection, equipment and tube collection, lost and found, and maintaining park cleanliness.
