About The Position
The Manchester Family YMCA is seeking part-time lifeguards to help save lives and ensure the safety of patrons at its pool. The role is responsible for the safety of members and program participants. Certified lifeguards are welcome, and swimmers interested in becoming lifeguards may be trained and certified by the YMCA if they meet basic swim requirements. The YMCA of Greater Richmond emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and ongoing professional development, and is guided by the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Requirements
- Must be at least 15 years old.
- Must have current CPR, AED, and First Aid qualifications.
- Must have current American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard certification, unless seeking YMCA training and certification after meeting basic swim requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Oxygen Administration (O2) qualification is preferred but not required.
