About The Position
The Phoenixville YMCA is seeking individuals age 16 or older to work as lifeguards. The role focuses on keeping pool participants safe, applying aquatic-area safety procedures, and maintaining the pool deck. Lifeguards can develop communication, leadership, and responsibility skills while receiving support from the YMCA leadership team and opportunities to learn and grow.
Requirements
- Age 16 or older.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or the ability to pass the course.
- Passion for water safety and strong swimming skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and surveillance of all pool participants.
- Understand and apply organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing.
