Logan Health Medical Fitness Center is looking for dedicated, safety-focused Lifeguards to join our aquatic team. To support increased demand and ensure a consistently safe and positive experience for all swimmers, we are growing our lifeguard team. PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Requirements

  • Are at least 15 years old
  • Are responsible, attentive, and committed to swimmer safety
  • Can stay focused and respond promptly as needed
  • Communicate well with children, adults, and families
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Are organized, dependable, and professional
  • Are comfortable learning basic computer programs
  • Lifeguard & First Aid Certification – Required within 30 days
  • Heart Saver AED CPR preferred or must successfully obtain with in sixty (60) days

  • Have experience working with children

Responsibilities

  • Supervise activities in the pool, spa, and pool deck areas
  • Enforce aquatic rules and safety standards with professionalism and clarity
  • Maintain vigilant attention to all pool activity to identify and respond to potential hazards
  • Act quickly and effectively in emergencies
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of our emergency action plan
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining safety and control
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming pool environment
