About The Position

Avalanche Bay Lifeguards help keep waterpark guests safe in an energetic, water-filled environment. No prior experience is required; employees complete Jeff Ellis & Associates lifeguard certification training, including online and in-water components, and receive training in First Aid, CPR, AED, and Oxygen Administration. The role provides customer service, teamwork, leadership, and lifesaving-skills experience. Roving lifeguards may walk 5–10 miles per shift. The position requires working some evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years old.
• Have energy, a positive attitude, and a friendly demeanor.
• Be willing to work some evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Complete Jeff Ellis & Associates lifeguard certification training, including online and in-water components.
• Monitor guests and scan the water to maintain safety.
• Enforce waterpark rules.
• Help keep pools and decks clean.
• Learn and follow the Emergency Action Plan.
• Administer first aid and assist guests during emergencies.
• Complete reports and records.
• Perform safety checks at opening and closing.
