About The Position

Indeed Flex is a tech-first staffing platform that helps workers choose shifts and businesses hire quickly. The B2C Lifecycle Communications Manager owns lifecycle communications for US workers and provides coverage for the UK Lifecycle Communications Manager when needed. Based in Austin, the role is part of the Worker Growth team, which uses consumer insight, creativity, and lifecycle communications to help workers overcome barriers, find opportunities, and stay engaged with the platform. The manager develops and evolves communications across onboarding, activation, education, retention, and re-engagement. The role uses worker behavior, pain points, and city-level marketplace demand to shape strategy and improve conversion and worker experience. It includes local and geo-targeted journeys, deep links, post-event conversion, and Spanish-language variants where needed. The manager creates content across email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messaging; builds automated journeys in Braze; analyzes performance; and runs experiments across messaging, creative, audience, channel, timing, frequency, geography, and language. This is an in-office role at Indeed’s Domain Tower office in Austin, five days per week, with the option to work from home on Thursdays. Hours are Monday through Friday during US business hours, with overlap to cover the UK when the UK manager is out. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in lifecycle marketing, customer engagement, CRM, or consumer communications.
  • Strong understanding of customer behavior, lifecycle journeys, and how communications can influence conversion, engagement, and retention.
  • Proven experience creating effective content and campaigns across channels such as email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messaging.
  • Track record of delivering measurable business results through experimentation, including journey optimization, A/B testing, and performance analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using customer data, segmentation, and behavioral insights to identify opportunities and make decisions, including geo-targeting and city-level audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with Braze or a similar CRM, marketing automation, or customer engagement platform.
  • Working knowledge of US messaging rules for SMS consent, email, and promotions such as sweepstakes.
  • Proven experience using AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, and ChatGPT to create content, analyze customer insights, prototype ideas, build lightweight solutions, and improve execution speed and quality.
  • Strong creative and editorial judgment, with the ability to develop clear, engaging, audience-relevant English messaging and direct Spanish-language variants where needed.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment where city priorities can change quickly.
  • Ability to work US hours from Austin with overlap to cover the UK.
  • High proficiency with tools for real-time collaboration with a globally distributed workforce, such as Miro, Monday, Salesforce, Google Meet, Zoom, and Slack.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a US digital consumer product or multi-city marketplace.
  • Direct production experience in Braze, rather than only a similar CRM, marketing automation, or customer engagement platform.

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously evolve the end-to-end US worker lifecycle communications strategy, covering onboarding, activation, education, retention, and re-engagement, and provide equivalent UK coverage when the UK manager is out.
  • Use worker behavior, pain points, city-level marketplace demand, local hiring events, and in-market activations to identify opportunities to reduce friction, influence behavior, and improve the worker experience.
  • Map and optimize lifecycle journeys by city and audience to improve funnel conversion, worker enablement, and long-term engagement, including geo-targeted journeys, deep links, and post-event conversion.
  • Develop audience-relevant content across email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app communications, including the US worker newsletter and Spanish-language variants where needed.
  • Build and manage automated lifecycle journeys in Braze so communications are timely, coordinated, and relevant to the worker’s lifecycle stage and city.
  • Use performance data and insights, including city, venue, and post-event results, to prioritize opportunities, measure impact, and inform decisions.
  • Design, run, and apply learnings from experiments involving messaging, creative, audience, channel, timing, frequency, geography, and language.
  • Own the US worker communications calendar and establish principles for targeting, frequency, channel selection, quality, and prioritization, including US consent rules for SMS, email, and promotions.
