Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED is preferred. Proof of enrollment in or completion of a post-secondary or vocational program may also be accepted.
• Healthcare experience preferred, or related field, competent in or knowledge of all aspects of commercial construction to include: fire wall construction, fire proofing installation, fire stop systems, and fire sprinkler requirements, fire alarm systems, etc.
• Working knowledge of NFPA Codes and The Joint Commission Standards.
• Must have a valid and current state issued driver’s license.
• Must maintain and provide proof of automobile insurance (at own expense) in amounts which meet at least the minimum liability coverage limits required by the state of their residence.
• Clearance of driving record check.
• Driving records shall not contain any of the following within the past 3 years (see policy): 3 or more moving violations, 2 or more accidents, 1 major violation.

Nice To Haves

• NFPA 101 and NFPA 99 training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for above ceiling inspections, to include identifying and repairing fire barrier penetrations, electrical deficiencies (missing cover boxes), fire alarm and fire sprinkler deficiencies, etc.
• Documentation for completing inspections and repairs is required as well.
• Perform work as assigned by Life Safety Supervisor.
