Life Groups & Young Adult Pastor
About The Position
The Life Groups & Young Adult Pastor at VRL is responsible for supporting the Groups Ministry with a specific emphasis on Young Adult groups and the launch of new groups of all types. This role involves developing the Young Adult Ministry to increase participation in Life Groups, consistently launching new groups, and collaborating with the Groups Team to achieve ministry goals. The position also includes participating in various group activities, providing general ministerial duties, and potentially taking on additional assigned tasks. Staff members at VRL are integral to the church's mission of making disciples who make disciple-makers for Jesus, embodying values such as abiding in Christ, creating a relational culture, connecting the unconnected, equipping volunteers, sharing Christ, and striving for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 3-5 years ministry experience or equivalent employment and volunteer-based experience.
- Experience leading teams or volunteers required.
- Strong communication skills
- Solid computer knowledge and experience with MS Office.
Nice To Haves
- Related education, degree, or training preferred
- Ordination preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Consistent launch of new groups including monthly group launches and Rooted groups.
- Work collaboratively with the Groups Team to achieve goals.
- Develop the Young Adult Ministry with the goal of steadily increasing the number of Young Adults in Life Groups.
- Participate in Groups Team activities such as Leader Rallies, Real Discipleship Training, and monthly Life Group Experiences.
- Be available for general ministerial duties, such as pastoral meetings, visits, and leading people through the ABCD Discipleship Pathway.
- Additional duties as assigned.
