Life Enrichment Assistant
About The Position
Terralume Signature Memory Care is a boutique community designed exclusively for individuals living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, located in Minnetonka. The Life Enrichment Assistant supports the Life Enrichment Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs that optimize residents' physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cognitive well-being. The role helps deliver Ebenezer's cornerstones: Life Long Learning, Dimensions Program for Dementia Care, Crafted Culinary, Spiritual Care, Wellness, and Intergenerational Programming. This is a casual/on-call role requiring at least three shifts per month, including two weekend shifts.

Responsibilities
- Assist with life enrichment programs and activities.
- Lead social events and activity programs.
- Conduct exercise classes for residents.
- Communicate and coordinate life enrichment programs with all departments.
- Assist other departments with special events and family functions.
- Complete required documentation.
- Offer suggestions and ideas to the Life Enrichment Director to improve programming.
- Assist in meeting residents' psychosocial needs.
- Encourage resident participation.
- Report changes in residents' attitude, mood, or physical status to appropriate staff.
- Promote resident independence by offering choices and fostering self-help skills.
- Assist residents in developing relationships and socializing effectively.
- Assist with planning and executing individual, small-group, or large-group outings outside the building, including helping residents board and exit vehicles safely.
