About The Position

The Life Enrichment Assistant plans and leads programs that support the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual well-being of residents in an assisted living community. The role fosters resident participation, friendship, and meaningful connection while creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It also coordinates special events, entertainers, local outings, and volunteer visitors. The position calls for a compassionate, creative, energetic, and organized person with a customer-service focus and initiative.

• Prior experience in senior living, recreation, hospitality, or therapeutic recreation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, promote, and lead diverse programs, including themed parties, games, crafts, and wellness sessions.
• Encourage resident participation, foster friendships, and celebrate residents’ interests and life stories.
• Manage special events and coordinate entertainers such as musicians and speakers.
• Schedule local outings and welcome volunteer visitors.
• Create a warm, welcoming, and vibrant atmosphere in the assisted living community.
• Identify resident needs, suggest new program ideas, and support their successful implementation.
• Coordinate daily schedules and multiple events.
