About The Position

This is a full-time position with the MDH Board of Pharmacy located at 4201 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215. The main purpose of this role is to independently process, evaluate, and analyze pharmacy distributor applications. The specialist will write final reports to the board recommending licensing decisions (license, not license, or delay pending further information) and make recommendations on distributor licensing policy and procedures, implementing adopted policies and procedures. This position is eligible for 40% hybrid telework.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
Three years of administrative staff or professional work
Experience effectively communicating with co-workers, management, and the public
Experience with time management, prioritizing and completing tasks on schedule
Experience providing professional customer service
Possession of a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring operation of a motor vehicle)

Responsibilities

Independently process, evaluate, and analyze pharmacy distributor applications

Make recommendations to the board on distributor licensing policy and procedures
