About The Position

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides appropriate nursing care on the nursing unit as directed by a registered nurse. Care includes gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures in an age- and population-appropriate manner consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines. The LVN also performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• Hold current LPN/LVN licensure in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates.
• Hold current BLS certification; BLS certification must be AHA-approved within 90 days of employment.
• Obtain current IV certification within 90 days of employment if required by state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
