About The Position
St. Francis Medical Center is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills within the scope of practice. The role addresses patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general care needs and supports communication with patients and their families. The nurse works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. In the ER setting, the role requires knowledge of EMTALA regulations and the triage process.
Requirements
- Hold a current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
- Hold a current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain it.
- Minimum one year of experience in an applicable setting preferred.
Nice To Haves
- IV certification upon hire preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in an applicable setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care within the scope of practice.
- Meet patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general care needs.
- Meet the communication needs of patients and families.
- Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA regulations and the triage process in the ER setting.
