Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
About The Position
Diablo Valley Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide resident-centered care in a supportive, team-oriented skilled nursing environment. The LVN provides direct nursing care and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants. Nursing services must comply with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies and procedures. The LVN works closely with the Director of Nursing Services and Nurse Supervisors to support residents’ health, safety, and well-being. The position is full-time, with AM and PM shifts, and compensation is listed as $35–$38 per hour with benefits.
Requirements
- Current and active LVN license.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and treatments in accordance with physician orders and care plans.
- Administer medications and monitor resident responses.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing leadership and physicians as appropriate.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Supervise and support nursing assistants during assigned shifts.
- Ensure nursing care is delivered safely, effectively, and compassionately.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment among nursing staff.
- Follow federal, state, and facility regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain infection control and resident safety standards.
- Participate in resident care planning and interdisciplinary communication.
- Support quality improvement and facility care initiatives.
