Licensed Veterinary Technician - Cardiology
About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician for its Cardiology service. The technician provides nursing care to stable patients in accordance with hospital standards and core values, supports clinicians with diagnostic procedures, and contributes to patient treatment and client communication. The position offers a competency-based leveling system through which associates can advance as they gain skills and experience. The tentative schedule is Sunday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The pay range is $23.00–$43.00 per hour, with the starting point dependent on experience and advancement through the competency leveling system. Qualified Licensed Veterinary Technicians may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship or sponsorship transfer. Applicants must have unrestricted, current authorization to work in the United States and must not require future employment-based green-card sponsorship. Requirements
- Be a Licensed Veterinary Technician.

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
- Report patient signalment, problem list, and plan during nursing rounds.
- Calculate basic medical math.
- Understand classifications of commonly used medications and their associated side effects, and appropriately monitor therapeutic response.
- Administer medications by appropriate routes and for appropriate durations.
- Perform phlebotomy.
- Triage patients and obtain patient histories.
- Assist clinicians with diagnostic procedures.
- Provide patient care, including treatments.
- Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients.
