About The Position

MedVet is a fast-growing emergency and specialty provider with practices nationwide, offering advanced medical treatments and innovations. The Cardiology Veterinary Technician works within a collaborative Cardiology department and has opportunities to expand their knowledge and skills in cardiology procedures. The role liaises between cardiologists and clients, supports client education and scheduling, and manages patient appointments. The technician assists with procedures, patient care, records, invoicing, discharges, and daily service flow while helping ensure patients receive high-quality care.

Requirements

• Prior veterinary experience is required.
• Proficiency in calculations, including drug calculations, constant rate infusions, and unit conversions.
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferred.
• Cardiology experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist with echocardiography, thoracentesis, pericardiocentesis, and interventional cardiology procedures.
• Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, maintain medical records, invoice, discharge patients, and organize daily service flow.
• Place intravenous catheters and obtain blood pressures and ECGs.
• Educate clients about cardiology disease processes.
• Help deliver the MedVet experience and ensure patients receive high-quality care.
• Inspire and teach, multitask, and contribute as a highly functional team member.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
