About The Position

MedVet is seeking a collaborative and driven Cardiology Veterinary Technician to join its clinical team. The Cardiology department works across multiple hospital specialties and offers opportunities to expand cardiology knowledge and procedural skills. The technician serves as a liaison between cardiologists and clients, supports client education and scheduling, and manages patient appointments. The role also involves assisting with cardiology procedures and helping ensure patients receive high-quality care.

Requirements

• Prior veterinary experience.
• Proficiency with calculations, including drug calculations, constant rate infusions, and unit conversions.
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license.
• Cardiology experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with echocardiography, thoracentesis, pericardiocentesis, and interventional cardiology procedures.
• Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, maintain medical records, process invoices, and discharge patients.
• Organize and manage the daily service flow.
• Place intravenous catheters and obtain blood pressures and ECGs.
• Educate clients about cardiology disease processes.
• Help deliver the MedVet experience and ensure patients receive high-quality care.
• Inspire and teach, multitask, and contribute as a highly functional team member.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
