About The Position

Rice Creek Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional service to clients. The role supports veterinarians with exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery; performs technical procedures; communicates with clients; maintains medical records; and helps keep the hospital clean, stocked, and ready. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 6:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break and one set weekday off. No weekend hours are required. Salary is $22.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification is required.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and patient status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep examination rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
