Licensed Security Officer
About The Position
Securitas USA is hiring security officers, including armed, unarmed, and event officers. Security officers observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client sites, helping protect client property and personnel. The posting lists hourly pay of $17 for unarmed positions and up to $20 for armed positions. Positions are available full-time and part-time, with all shifts available, including weekends. Officers must be able to cover assigned events and shifts as needed. The role requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking, sometimes for long periods, and may involve stairs, inclines, and uneven terrain. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security experience.
- Must be available to work weekends and have a flexible schedule.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must pass a lifetime background check and drug test; the posting also requires passing a drug screen and background check.
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; must be professional.
- Must meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal security officer/guard licensing requirements.
- Must comply with the professional appearance policy: visible body-piercing accessories or visible tattoos are not permitted unless authorized.
- Ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, and walking, including for long periods; may need to climb stairs and walk on inclines or uneven terrain.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
