About The Position

The Licensed Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises and patrolling a variety of locations. The role preserves order by enforcing site regulations and directives related to personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. Officers also provide customer service and information to client employees and customers, and observe and report activities and incidents to protect client property and personnel. Securitas offers an Armed class at the end of each month for candidates looking to become armed. Attendance requires an unpaid four-day training course, and candidates must be ready to work immediately upon completion. Candidates must have at least one year of security, law enforcement, or military experience and a valid driver's license. An active Unarmed DCJS license is preferred but not required. Open availability for all shifts and weekend availability are required.

Requirements

At least one year of security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Valid driver's license.
Open availability for all shifts.
Weekend availability is mandatory.
Excellent customer service skills.
Pass a drug screen and background check.
Meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.
For the armed class, attend an unpaid four-day training course and be ready to work immediately upon completion.
