About The Position
The Licensed Security Guard helps maintain a safe environment by monitoring activity, assisting visitors, and responding to incidents. The role involves controlling entrances and traffic, patrolling buildings and surrounding areas, escorting personnel and materials, inspecting security and fire exposures, completing reports, responding to alarms and emergencies, and communicating with supervisors. Candidates should be vigilant, disciplined, observant, professional, calm under pressure, reliable, customer-service oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3–6 months of security or life-safety experience
- State Guard license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
- Clear and professional communication
- Vigilance, discipline, and observant behavior
- Ability to stay calm and focused in stressful situations
- Reliability and customer-service orientation
- Adaptability to changing environments
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
