About The Position

Provide security detail in accordance with post orders while establishing working relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. Security personnel are expected to remain aware of their surroundings, observe activity in their assigned areas, maintain a professional image, and provide excellent customer service. Duties may vary based on department size, organizational structure, location, and post assignment. Reasonable accommodations may be made for certain ADA requirements. Andy Frain Services may modify or assign duties at its discretion.

Requirements

Must pass a background check.
Must obtain a Security Guard Card; Andy Frain Services will apply for and pay for it.
Honesty, alertness, and discipline.
Constant and dedicated vigilance.
Strong customer-service skills.
Ability to be hands-on and results-oriented while handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to facilitate change, work as part of a team, and follow directions.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Control entrances and pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
Patrol buildings and perimeters, or maintain a fixed post, and report suspicious activity; investigate accidents and criminal acts.
Escort materials and personnel.
Inspect security and fire exposures.
Monitor cameras or other equipment continuously as directed by post orders.
Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies using knowledge of applicable emergency policies, procedures, and regulations.
Complete Daily Activity Reports, log book entries, incident reports, and other reports relevant to the assignment.
Recommend improvements to safety and loss-prevention processes based on daily observations.
Know and operate relevant life-safety systems, fire panels, CCTV systems, computers, and other equipment needed for the assignment.
Ensure the continuous and safe operation of elevators and access doors.
Know the authorized contractors responsible for maintaining equipment.
Meet training and compliance guidelines established by Andy Frain Services and other agencies regulating the customer or market.
Communicate new security issues or changes to the Security Supervisor daily.
Arrive on time and report to the post in full uniform; maintain a professional, polite, and friendly manner with customers, visitors, and employees.
Stay current on revisions to post orders and information distributed by the customer and Andy Frain Services.
