About The Position
The Licensed Security Guard helps maintain a safe environment by monitoring activity, assisting visitors, and responding to incidents. The role involves controlling entrances and managing traffic, patrolling buildings and surrounding areas, escorting personnel and materials, inspecting security and fire exposures, completing daily activity and incident reports, responding to alarms and emergencies, and communicating daily with supervisors. Candidates should be vigilant, disciplined, observant, clear and professional communicators, and able to remain calm in stressful situations. The position requires reliability, customer-service orientation, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3–6 months of security or life-safety experience.
- State Guard license.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
- Vigilance, discipline, and observance.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm and focused in stressful situations.
- Reliability and customer-service orientation.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple priorities.
