Ascellus is a behavioral health provider focused on helping injured workers restore their physical and emotional wellbeing. The Licensed Psychologist provides time-limited outpatient psychotherapy to injured workers in the workers’ compensation space. This is a 1099 role designed for clinicians seeking flexibility, operational support, and a thoughtful clinical culture. Psychologists typically provide 4–12 therapy sessions per case and choose a caseload of 5–20 cases. They set their own availability and receive referrals according to their chosen volume and capacity. The role includes documenting care within 24–48 hours using the Ascellus Provider Portal. Compensation is $160–$200 per therapy session, depending on relevant experience; the high end of the range is reserved for clinicians with significant applicable experience. No-show and late-cancel appointments are paid at the full hourly rate when cancellation occurs within 24 hours and proper patient outreach has been completed. Ascellus provides referral flow and intake coordination, billing and collections, credentialing support, scheduling and reminders, and access to a consultation community with workers’ compensation behavioral health specialists, peer consultation, case conferences, and training.
