Ascellus is a behavioral health provider focused on helping injured workers restore their physical and emotional well-being. The Licensed Psychologist provides time-limited outpatient psychotherapy to injured workers in the workers’ compensation space. This 1099 role is designed for clinicians seeking flexibility, operational support, and a thoughtful clinical culture. The typical course of treatment is 4–12 sessions. Clinicians choose their caseload, which may range from 5–20 cases, and set their own availability. Referrals are provided based on the clinician’s chosen volume and capacity. Documentation must be completed within 24–48 hours using the Ascellus Provider Portal. Compensation is $160–$200 per therapy session, depending on relevant experience; the high end of the range is reserved for clinicians with significant applicable experience. No-show or late-cancel appointments within 24 hours are paid at the full hourly rate when proper patient outreach has been completed. Ascellus provides referral flow and intake coordination, billing and collections, credentialing support, scheduling and reminders, and access to a clinical consultation community specializing in workers’ compensation behavioral health, including peer consultation, case conferences, and training.
