About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing licensed nursing services to residents in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines and applicable federal and state regulations. The role includes medication administration, resident assessments and care planning, responding to emergencies, coordinating with physicians, families, and community staff, and supporting resident and staff education. The position is in memory care and is listed as full-time, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with alternating weekends.

Requirements

Training from an accredited licensed or vocational nursing program.
At least 1 year of experience in senior care or a related field.
Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of practice.
CPR certification.
Sufficient English proficiency to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and employees, and respond to and communicate during emergencies.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations calmly and professionally.

Responsibilities

Administer medications to residents in compliance with federal and state regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
May admit new residents, including completing admission assessments and documentation.
Complete acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
May track clinical systems, such as wounds or infection control, under the director’s direction.
Provide general consultation about health-related concerns within the community.
Notify physicians and/or family members of changes in residents’ health and document appropriately.
Respond quickly to emergencies.
Maintain close communication with departments and staff members.
Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
Understand the role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
May complete discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.
