About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides licensed nursing services to residents in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines and applicable Federal and State regulations. The position includes medication administration, resident assessments and care planning, health-related consultation, clinical documentation, and responding to emergencies. The LPN works closely with physicians, residents’ family members, and other community staff while maintaining resident confidentiality.

Requirements

Training from an accredited licensed or vocational nursing program.
At least 1 year of experience in senior care or a related field.
Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state where practicing.
CPR certification.
English proficiency sufficient to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and employees, and respond to and communicate about emergencies.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations calmly and professionally.

Responsibilities

Administer medications to residents in compliance with Federal and State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
May complete admission assessments and documentation for new residents.
Complete acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
May track clinical systems, such as wounds or infection control, under the direction of the director.
Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
Notify physicians and/or family members about changes in residents’ health and document appropriately.
Respond quickly to emergencies.
Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
Understand the role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
May complete discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.
