Weekend Package Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct, quality clinical care to residents and supervises nursing assistants working with residents assigned to each unit. The position is part of Trilogy’s Weekend Package Program and requires working at least two 8-hour or 12-hour shifts every weekend. Weekend hours between 6 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday receive an additional $5.00 per hour; additional shift differentials apply to evening or night shifts on weekends. The role is based at The Heritage in Findlay, Ohio. Requirements
- Maintain a current, valid state LPN license.
- Hold current, valid CPR certification.
- Work a minimum of two 8-hour or 12-hour shifts every weekend.
Responsibilities
- Visit residents on the assigned unit daily to observe and evaluate their physical and emotional status, and report changes in condition to the charge nurse, physician, and/or Director of Nursing.
- Identify resident problems and emergency situations and initiate immediate lifesaving measures when a physician is absent.
- Provide holistic resident care within the scope of the LPN license.
- Help monitor medication, medical-supply, and equipment inventories to ensure adequate supplies are available for residents.
- Complete administrative duties as needed, including medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, and charting.
- Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals according to facility policies and procedures.
