Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – UI Health Care Bettendorf Neurology 100%
About The Position
The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a patient-centered Licensed Practical Nurse to support Neurology patients in Bettendorf, Iowa, as well as other clinics in the building, including Family Medicine, Dermatology, Pediatrics, and Endocrinology. The role supports care across generations and involves building relationships with patients, monitoring their care histories, and delivering personalized, compassionate care. Providers connect patients with UI Health Care specialists when needed. The LPN provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse, participates in developing nursing care plans, and helps implement therapeutic programs for patients. In less complex situations, the LPN may direct and supervise assigned nursing personnel; in more complex situations, the LPN assists the registered professional nurse. The position is a regular salaried role based in Bettendorf and surrounding clinics as clinical needs require. It is 100% (40 hours per week), with variable weekday hours between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Travel within an approximately two-hour radius is required about once per month, using a fleet vehicle with paid drive time. There are no weekends, on-call duties, or holidays. The position includes the University of Iowa's benefits package, paid vacation and sick leave, and free on-site parking.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for a temporary work permit.
- Complete the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) provider.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
