Licensed Practical Nurse-Tenney Pediatrics
About The Position
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Swope Health Services’ Tenney Pediatrics Clinic, you will work as part of a team of caregivers providing care to patients. The role includes taking health histories, providing health counseling, and administering medications and treatments. You will provide nursing care and assist physicians and other providers. LPNs also follow up on abnormal lab and imaging results and post-hospitalization care, conduct proactive pre-visit planning, and provide patient teaching. The position is part of a patient-centered medical team focused on quality, patient-centered care. The position is approved for a $1,000 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments: $500 at hire and $500 after 90 days of employment. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Hold a license to practice in Missouri and/or Kansas.
- Hold Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Have excellent communication skills and a customer-service orientation, and be able to work with staff, visitors, and clients.
- Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or obtain an approved vaccination accommodation exemption based on a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief.
