About The Position

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Swope Health Services’ Tenney Pediatrics Clinic, you will work as part of a care team providing nursing care and assisting physicians and other providers. The role includes taking health histories, providing health counseling, and administering medications and treatments. LPNs follow up on abnormal laboratory and imaging results and post-hospitalization care, support proactive pre-visit planning, and provide patient teaching. The LPN is an important part of the patient-centered medical team and helps deliver quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Hold a license to practice in Missouri and/or Kansas.
• Be certified in Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS).
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Be customer-service oriented and able to work with staff, visitors, and clients.
• Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or obtain an approved vaccination accommodation exemption based on a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief.

Responsibilities

• Take patient health histories.
