About The Position

Interim HealthCare is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide pediatric care in home environments. The role supports clients’ health, safety, comfort, and well-being, with flexible scheduling and shift lengths. Shifts may be days, evenings, or overnights. The position is offered as PRN or part-time, with the potential for full-time hours. Team members can manage their availability and scheduling in communication with a scheduler and receive 24/7 on-call support.

Requirements

• Hold an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in South Dakota, or be eligible for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have previous LPN experience, with 1,000 hours worked required.
• Have one year of pediatric experience.
• Hold current CPR certification; on-site CPR certification is available for qualified candidates.
• Maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards.
• Be able to provide compassionate, professional care in long-term care across a variety of home environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support clients’ health, safety, comfort, and well-being.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders, Interim policies, and applicable regulations.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Complete nursing assessments and monitor clients according to the plan of care.
• Monitor and record vital signs.
• Observe clients for changes in condition and report concerns to appropriate healthcare team members.
• Identify and report concerns related to patient care, medications, or medical equipment.
