About The Position
Provides quality nursing care to psychiatric and geriatric-psychiatric patients in accordance with nursing practice standards and within the scope of licensure. Under the general supervision of a registered nurse, performs selected skilled, patient-centered nursing care for individuals and groups with complex mental and physical illnesses. Care includes administering medications and treatments, maintaining patient records, promoting health and wellness education, and communicating to support continuity of care.
Requirements
- Current Virginia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse, or eligibility for licensure; multistate compact endorsement is accepted.
- Experience working as an LPN in a hospital or inpatient setting is required.
Responsibilities
