About The Position

NHC HomeCare Lawrenceburg is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN and part-time work. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LPN provides skilled nursing services ordered in the plan of care and follows applicable policies, procedures, and state practice acts. The nurse also teaches patients and caregivers about patient care and disease management, documents their comprehension and compliance, observes responses to care and teaching, and recommends plan-of-care revisions to the Registered Nurse. Additional duties may be assigned by the RN or Clinical Manager. The position is based at NHC HomeCare Lawrenceburg, 399 Tripp Rd, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464. Home health experience is desirable. Candidates with less than one year of LPN experience may be considered; if hired, they will receive mentoring and additional oversight until completing one year of experience.

Requirements

Hold an unencumbered, current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state where the HomeCare agency is located, or a compact-state license if applicable.
Graduate from a state-approved LPN program.
One year of clinical experience as an LPN is specified; candidates with less than one year may be considered and, if hired, will receive mentoring and additional oversight until completing one year.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing services as ordered in the plan of care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Follow applicable policies, procedures, and state practice acts when providing care.
Instruct patients and caregivers in patient care and disease management.
Document patient and caregiver comprehension of and compliance with teaching.
Observe patient responses to care and teaching and recommend plan-of-care revisions to the Registered Nurse.
Provide and document skilled nursing care according to the established plan of care, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Perform other duties as assigned by the RN or Clinical Manager.
