About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its team at Northwest Florida Reception Center in Chipley, Florida. The LPN provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff to address a range of physical and behavioral health needs. The role is part of Centurion’s medical and mental health services for the Florida Department of Corrections. The available schedule includes two 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM and two 8-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with rotating weekends.
Requirements
- Hold an active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Maintain appropriate and active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Be able to obtain a security clearance, including passing a drug screen and criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within the appropriate scope of practice.
- Work under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical and psychiatric staff.
- Respond to patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
