About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for the day shift at its facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The nurse provides medical care to clients throughout admission, treatment, and discharge; coordinates medication and pharmacy needs; collaborates with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams; maintains medical records and related tracking and reporting; and provides patient education in individual and group settings.

Requirements

• Complete a minimum one-year diploma program after high school.
• Hold current licensure to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
• Have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Be detail-oriented and efficient, with the ability to multitask.
• Demonstrate a compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality medical care for each client throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain clear medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain medical documentation, tracking, and reporting for each client.
• Provide patient education in individual and group settings.
