About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for the day shift at its detox and residential treatment facility in South Bend, Indiana. The role provides nursing care to clients receiving substance-use treatment, including admission assessments, routine nursing duties, medication and pharmacy support, care coordination, and medical documentation.

Requirements

• Current, valid nursing licensure in the state of practice, or a compact license with multistate privileges.
• Strong critical-thinking skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in the treatment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform nursing shift duties, including screening, taking vital signs, scheduling appointments and labs, and updating charts.
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations, dispense medications, and maintain medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, review charts, and log medications for each client.
