About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides primary clinical support to providers, patients, and their families to assist with diagnosis and treatment. The role follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in the medical record, supporting continuity and quality of care. The nurse promotes a clean environment and provides care appropriate to the age range of patients in the assigned clinical area. The position is based in a clinical environment. Typical work hours fall between 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., with one evening shift per week through 7:00 p.m. The role is full-time, scheduled for 40 hours per week, and includes day-one benefits. Requirements

Graduate from a nursing specialty training program.
Licensed Practical Nurse license.
Basic Life Support certification.
Skills in communication, computer literacy, customer service, multitasking, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Obtain and document patients’ medical histories, chief complaints, and vital signs; provide a basic medical database for the provider and prepare patients for examinations.
Provide direct clinical care as directed by the provider.
Assist providers with minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Carry out and document ongoing patient communication as directed by the provider, prioritize communication to the provider, and respond to patient questions and requests.
Administer medications and vaccines, including intradermal medications and skin testing, under provider direction and within scope of practice.
Clean and set up examination and treatment rooms between cases, maintain required asepsis, ensure instruments and equipment are available, and prepare patients.
Follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure its completion, accuracy, and filing in the medical record.
Comply with organization policies and procedures and fulfill job-specific obligations.
